This is the unique original Gouache painting by Harry Green.

Isambard Kingdom Brunel proudly points to the almost completed Great Eastern the construction of which was fraught with problems. In 1858 when launched the ship was the largest ever constructed.

Brunel dies just after her ill-fated maiden voyage in 1859 which saw an explosion on board. The ship was built in Millwall South London.
