This is the unique original Pen & Ink Wash by Cecil Doughty.

Adrift in the Arctic tells the true story of the fate of the men of the United States Navy survey ship Polaris who spent 6 months marooned on ice floes when their ship was wrecked by ice after a storm.

The story originally appeared in Eagle volume 17 number 30 and was reprinted in Look and Learn #570, 16th December 1972. The original series name was Eagle Bids for Freedom.
