This is the Signed original Pencil & Wash by Fortunino Matania.

This is the original pencil and wash painting used to illustrate a scene in the Sphere magazine in 1921.

The painting depicts Japanese acrobats performing in the arena of the circus at Olympia, London in 1921. It is interesting to note the level of detail Matania puts into the watching crowds.

This painting is featured in the book The Art of Fortunino Matania: catalogue of original art & prints as Fig 37.
