Rob Riley was a comic strip that started in Ranger Magazine (published by Fleetway) before joining Look and Learn after the two papers merged. It concerned the adventures of a schoolboy who attends a Comprehensive School with many adventures highlighting social issues.

The strip was drawn by Stanley Houghton and written by Mike Butterworth, who also scripted another ex-Ranger strip - The Trigan Empire.

Grandad the Coward was the first story to be published once the strip had moved over to Look and Learn. It ran in issues 232 - 239 and this page was published 9th July 1966.
