This is the unique original Gouache painting by Wilf Hardy.

In 1973 the "Arun" was Britain's newest lifeboat. Only hours after it went into service at St. Peter Port, Guernsey it's crew saved the lives of four French fishermen.

This type of boat was fast and larger than previous models and was capable of staying afloat even when all 24 watertight spaces have been holed due to the amount of plastic foam used in it's construction.

It is also self-righting if it capsizes in heavy seas. Informative and action-packed a speciality of Wilf Hardy.
