Frederick the Great of Prussia (Original)

Frederick the Great of Prussia (Original)

(Ref: Fred2)

Artist: Bronzes
Medium: Limited edition Bronze
Size: 4" x 10" (102mm x 254mm)

This is a cold-cast Bronze sculpture.

Frederick II (born January 24, 1712; died August 17, 1786) was King of Prussia (1740-1786) from the Hohenzollern dynasty. In his role as a prince-elector of the Holy Roman Empire, he was Frederick IV (Friedrich IV.) of Brandenburg. He became known as Frederick the Great (Friedrich der Große) and was nicknamed der alte Fritz ("Old Fritz"). The bronze shows him during the period of the 7 Years War.

This cold cast bronze is a limited edition copy of a German Victorian bronze. The statue is 10" (250mm) high on a mahogany base showing his coat of arms and weighs 3.5kgs. Limited to just 25 with a certificate of authenticity. A truly stunning bronze statue.

This art has been sold and is shown in our Archive for interest.
