Description: A magnificent depiction of an Untersee Boot (U Boot) in the North Atlantic running for its home base towards the end of World War 2. Low on fuel and replenishing fresh air, the U-Boat travels dangerously exposed on the surface to make better time. This is a marvelous painting showing the ferocity of the sea and conveys the extreme vulnerability of the 'surface run'. Signed and numbered from a limited edition of just 100 copies. Professionally matted ready for framing.
